Four Dead, 21 Injured in Majorca Building Collapse
Four people have lost their lives and 21 are injured after a two-storey building collapsed in Majorca, according to emergency services.
The collapse occurred at the Medusa Beach Club, a beachfront restaurant on Cartago Street in Palma de Majorca, at around 20:30 local time (19:30 BST).
Several individuals are believed to be trapped at the site. Local emergency services have called in psychologists to assist.
Eyewitnesses reported that many of those inside the building at the time were tourists, as May marks the beginning of the busy tourist season in the area.
The mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez, along with the Deputy Mayor of Tourism, has traveled to the scene.
