Nigerians Urge Osimhen to Quit Napoli After Teammates Refused to Pass the Ball to Him

Fans of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen have asked him to leave Napoli after it appears his teammates are refusing to play the ball to him.
Defending champions of the Scudetto Napoli were blown away by an in-form Inter Milan team at the Maradona.

However, Nigerian fans were more concerned about the treatment of Victor Osimhen by his teammates who refused to pass the ball to him on many occasions during the match.

While Inter Milan played to their strength, giving the ball to players like Thuram and Çalhanoğlu, who could cause any team danger, Napoli did the exact opposite, denying their star player of service when he was in some good positions.

In the first 45 minutes, Osimhen shows his frustration after calling for the ball but not getting it when he was in the box. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who linked up very well with Nigerian last season, and Politano were guilty of going solo or passing sideways when a pass to Osimhen would have been the better option.

All of these came to bite Napoli as Hakan Çalhanoğlu drilled home a thunderous strike to give the Nerazzurris the lead going into the half-time break. 15 minutes into the restart, Nicolo Barella added a second for Inter Milan.

Napoli did try to go long finding Osimhen but it was now a little too late. Yann Sommer drew a smart save from an Osimhen’s header. In the end, Marcus Thuram applied a deft finishing touch after good work from Juan Cuadrado.

Some mentioned that Osimhen has been starved of supply in recent matches, even during their Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

Osimhen is already the subject of transfer speculations involving many big European clubs, with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Real Madrid in the mix. Will he still be playing his football in Napoli by January? We can only wait to find out.
