Trump, Biden Tops Super Tuesday, Harley pulls Surprise in Vermont

With possibilities of a White House rematch between the parties, even more likely, President Joe Biden and Donald Trump have swept the state primaries that were held on Super Tuesday.
As voting have now come to an end across the US, Biden is believed to have won Democratic nominating contests in 14 states, plus Iowa, where people voted by post.
Meanwhile, Trump is projected to have won 12 Republican contests, further cementing his strong overall lead over Nikki Haley. Surprisingly, Haley has projected a surprise win in Vermont
Trump described Super Tuesday as an "amazing day" and launched an attack on Biden, who has responded in kind and insisted "we will win" the presidency in 2024.
Kamala Harris: Trump 'must be stopped'
Vice President Kamala Harris has described Super Tuesday as "an energising moment" for the Biden-Harris campaign.
She added that "Americans of all backgrounds are showing that they sense the urgency of this election, and that they are ready to stand with President Biden and me in this fight to protect our fundamental freedoms."
"The president and I know re-election must be earned, and we will continue to put in the work to reach every possible voter. Winning the fight to protect our fundamental freedoms will require nothing less.” Harris said
The results od Super Tuesday showed some warning signs for both candidates, pointing out gray areas and their potential weaknesses.
For Biden, he should be worried about the exit polls that showed that voters care more about immigration and the southern US border. That is Trump’s signature issue and it was the main focus of his victory speech last night.
He may also be concerned about the “uncommitted” vote in some states, fuelled by voters' anger about the president’s support for Israel’s war in Gaza. Those same people might refuse to turn up to vote for Biden in November, or switch their support to a third-party candidate.
Although Haley has attracted a significant chunk of Republican primary voters, many of whom say they will not switch to supporting Trump, Trump’s long list of primary wins also reveals his power over his party.
The former president made no attempt to woo Haley voters in last night’s speech, making no mention of his rival.
While Haley appears to be preparing to pull out, she may not be ready to endorse Trump.
